LTI Integration on an Existing University Learning Platform

An online university needed to standardize its programs. We upgraded the platform architecture and enabled secure, role-based data sharing.

“Let me reiterate how entirely impressed I am with the speed, quality, and professionalism of this project. I've been contracting with tech vendors in some fashion for more than 2 decades here in NYC. I have never had one that matched your team's standards. Thank You!”

What Makes Magic Different

HECVAT responses, VPATs, ACRs, and FERPA alignment documentation are maintained as a matter of practice, not assembled when asked.

We know where higher ed platform projects stall, from SIS dependencies to governance complexity and faculty adoption. Our delivery model accounts for those realities.

We build AI on private, FERPA-compliant infrastructure with institutional data ownership and documented governance frameworks.

Instructional designers, engineers, accessibility specialists, and AI and ML experts work on the same engagement when content and platform decisions are tightly linked.

FAQs

Most of our higher ed partners already have strong internal teams. We step in where added capacity or specialized expertise is needed, whether that is LMS migration, WCAG remediation at volume, LTI integration, or private AI deployment. We work as an extension of your team, not a replacement.

Because we work exclusively in digital learning, your LMS integrations, compliance obligations, content formats, and platform architecture are not new to us. We learn from your institution, but we are not starting from zero on higher ed.

Yes. We have remediated libraries ranging from a few hundred assets to tens of thousands. Our accessibility team includes credentialed specialists, and MagicA11y helps accelerate throughput across HTML, ePub, PDFs, Word documents, and multimedia assets.

We do not recommend or build AI solutions that route student data through public LLMs. Our higher ed AI work uses private, FERPA-compliant infrastructure, institutional data ownership, governance frameworks, and human review checkpoints.

We have deep experience with Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, and other higher ed LMS environments. We support LTI 1.3, xAPI, SCORM, QTI, SAML, OAuth 2.0, and custom integrations for more complex ecosystems.

Some engagements are project-based, such as platform audits, content migration, accessibility remediation, or AI pilots. Others are ongoing, with Magic functioning as a dedicated extended team across multiple workstreams.

Our teams include instructional designers, learning scientists, subject matter experts, engineers, and content producers. In higher ed, that means the work is shaped by people who understand course design standards, program outcomes, and accreditor expectations.
